FINALIZE ENROLLMENT

You will complete Judah’s online application. The application will be reviewed by the division principal, and you will be contacted if further information is needed.

You will be contacted by the Office of Admissions to schedule your child’s elementary screening or secondary placement test. Testing times and availability vary by grade level.

You will be scheduled for a family meeting with the division principal(s). In this meeting, we share screening & placement results, and it is a chance for you and the principal(s) to discuss any final questions or concerns.

Once the above steps have been fully completed, you may receive an offer of acceptance to Judah Christian School.

If an offer is extended, you will finalize your student's enrollment at JCS by completing the instructions in your acceptance email.

PRESCHOOL THROUGH GRADE 12 APPLICATIONS

APPLYING FOR K-12

When to Apply

Judah Christian School encourages families to begin the application process in February, but will accept applications until enrollment limits are reached. (To help ensure a first-day start, please apply by July 15).

If you wish to enroll mid-year, please contact admissions@judah.org (217-359-1701) to inquire about classroom availability.

Application Process

1. To begin the Online Application process, first Create an Account. (If you have already created an admissions account, login here).

2. After account creation, log-in to your account and create a New Student application for your child. Should you need to logout while completing the application, your work will be saved.

3. Complete and submit your application (a $75 application fee will be due at the time of submission).

4. After submission, your K-12 application will be reviewed and you will be contacted if any further information is needed.

5. After application approval, K-12 families will be contacted by the admissions office to schedule placement testing.

6. After testing is scheduled and completed, K-12 families will be asked to meet with our principal to discuss how Judah and the family can work hand-in-hand during the educational process.

An admissions decision will be made after all of these steps are completed and will be sent to you from the Admissions Office.

APPLYING FOR PRESCHOOL

If your child has turned three by September 1 and is fully toilet-trained, he/she is eligible for Judah Christian School's preschool program. JCS encourages families to begin the application process in February but will accept applications until enrollment limits are reached.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

International Student General Admissions

All international students must follow general admissions procedures and meet general requirements of the Judah Christian School admissions process.

For further requirements pertaining specifically to international students, all prospective applicants are asked to contact our Secondary Guidance Counselor/International Student Advisor before proceeding with the online application.

International Application Deadline & Fees

International applications must be submitted by April 15 for Fall admission, with additional application documents submitted shortly thereafter. The non-refundable fee for International Applicants is $375. To apply, please contact Kim Miller (217-359-1701, ext. 195; millerk@judah.org).

Residency

International students must reside locally with a parent, grandparent, or uncle/aunt who is the brother/sister of the student’s parent. (Siblings are not approved to be guardians.)

Additional Charges

All students attending Judah with an I-20 will pay an additional $3,000 annual tuition.

Secondary Requirements (7th-12 grade students)

International students must provide documentation of English language proficiency. We accept the Secondary Level English Proficiency (SLEP) test, TOEFL Junior, TOEFL iBT or comparable test verification. The Judah administration has set the following standards for the SLEP test: students applying for 7th or 8th grade must score a minimum composite score of 50; students applying for 9th or 10th grade must score a minimum composite score of 55; and students applying for 11th or 12th grade must score a minimum composite score of 60.

International students may be required to retain the services of an English language tutor and provide the administration documentation during their first year at Judah, or as needed.

Elementary International Students (K-6th grade students)

Elementary students are evaluated on a case-by-case basis for entry into our program.
